Job Summary
The Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (ePMO) is responsible for the intake, execution, and oversight of strategic programs and projects approved by L.A. Care Leadership and the Board of Governors. The Project Manager III will manage all aspects of assigned projects, leading project teams in creating project artifacts as defined by the ePMO Shared Services.
Duties
- Leads and manages a portfolio of large complex projects, developing and maintaining project plans and schedules.
- Ensures timely execution of programs and projects, identifying and tracking risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
- Monitors best practices in project management and applies them to increase productivity.
- Responsible for scheduling, cost tracking/budget, resource management, and project component integration.
- Ensures executive summaries are submitted to the Leadership Team for review and approval.
- Provides mentorship and training to junior staff and interns.
Education Required
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent education/experience)
Experience Required
At least 5-7 years of experience in Project Management within a Managed Care Organization or top management consulting role in the healthcare industry.
Skills Required
- Demonstrated success in managing medium to large scale, diverse, and complex projects.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple teams/projects.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with business and technology communities.
Licenses/Certifications Preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP)
