Salary:
FUCHS offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00 per hour, but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire's experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.
Your Responsibilities:
The Local Driver, working out of our Clackamas,OR facility, reports to our Warehouse Manager, and is responsible for operating box trucks and delivering finished goods (industrial lubricants & metalworking fluids) to our customers in a timely manner. Specific responsibilities include:
Loading and unloading freight
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for shipment
- Performing final inspection/dock check on all outbound customer orders
- Receiving and properly storing finished product
- Delivering drums, totes and small packed goods like 5 gallon pails and grease cases
- If customer does not have a dock, driver must be able to operate manual pallet jack to offload pallets from the rear of truck (when applicable).
- Complying with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Reporting defects, accidents or violations immediately
- Maintaining a clean work environment and performing general warehouse upkeep/ maintenance.

Qualifications we are looking for:
- High school education or equivalent
- A valid CDL Class B license with HazMat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements
- At least 2 years' experience driving a CDL vehicle
- Ability to meet all company standards and DOT requirements for vehicles and drivers
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to read a map and accurately plan a route
- Ability to follow and carry out instructions with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills with ability to read English and write legibly
- Basic math skills required
- Straight truck, box trailer and tanker experience a plus
- Previous pallet jack experience a plus
- Safety conscious
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP a plus
