We are seeking experienced and certified Forklift Operators to join our dynamic team at one of our newest assignments located in Baltimore Maryland. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials within our manufacturing warehouse. Key Responsibilities:
Safe Equipment Operation|
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Ensure the equipment is in proper working condition before each shift.
Execute precise and controlled movements to load, unload, and transport materials efficiently.
Maintain constant awareness of your surroundings and fellow team members to prevent accidents or mishandling of materials.
Material Handling|
Execute careful loading and unloading of materials, paying attention to weight distribution and stability.
Skillfully stack and organize products to maximize storage space, minimizing the risk of damage or shifting during transport.
Safely secure and wrap loads as needed for stability and safety during transport.
Inventory Management|
Collaborate with the inventory team to keep accurate records of the movement and location of materials in the warehouse.
Efficiently locate and retrieve items for orders, ensuring that the correct items are selected and prepared for shipping.
Assist in performing regular cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Quality and Safety|
Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and your colleagues.
Promptly report any safety concerns, incidents, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors or management.
Consistently meet quality standards when handling materials to minimize waste or damage.
Team Collaboration|
Work closely with warehouse personnel, supervisors, and team leaders to execute material movements according to schedules and priorities.
Foster a collaborative and positive team environment by providing support and assistance when needed.
Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions.
Training and Skill Development|
Continuously develop your forklift operation skills and expand your knowledge of warehouse procedures.
Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on safety practices and equipment maintenance.
Mentor new forklift operators and support their training and development.
Qualifications|
1. Certified Forklift Operator: Possess a valid forklift operator's certification, demonstrating your ability to safely operate forklifts.
2. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting, highlighting your proficiency in material handling.
3. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects as necessary, showcasing your physical strength and endurance.
4. Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to workplace safety and awareness, with a proactive approach to risk prevention.
5. Detail-Oriented: Maintain keen attention to detail when handling materials to ensure accuracy and precision.
6. Team Player: Exhibit excellent teamwork and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues.
