Local Delivery Truck Driver

JOB SUMMARY

Seeking a skilled Local Delivery Truck Driver to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our fleet through preventive maintenance inspections and expert repairs. Your expertise will contribute to minimizing vehicle downtime and enhancing overall fleet reliability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on company vehicles and equipment to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Conduct annual inspections on all fleet vehicles in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions on vehicle systems and components.
• Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups promptly.
• Document all work performed on vehicles.
• Utilize computer-based diagnostic software and maintain the necessary tools for maintenance and repairs.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training
• High school diploma or GED required

Experience

• 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair
• Current and valid driver's license

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations

• Annual Inspector Certification
• Brake Inspector Certification
• ASE certifications (Preferred, Not Required)
• 609 HVAC Certification

Professional Skills

• Proficient in diagnostic software for vehicle systems
• Expert knowledge of all vehicle systems and components
• Basic knowledge in welding and cutting
• Basic computer skills

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs
• Various physical movements such as bending, reaching, and pushing/pulling

Work Environment

• May be exposed to various environmental conditions and occasional travel may be required.
