ID: 51620551 Shift: 1845-0715 Description: Additional Information: Position Description: 1.General job duties. Types of procedures required. Labor and Delivery all types of patients, Circulate cesareans, Postpartum mother/baby care, breastfeeding support and education (we are a Baby Friendly hospital). We have around 750 deliveries per year with no NICU.2.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)We use EPIC, Corometric fetal monitors3.Required skills and minimum years of experience.Labor/Deleivery skills, circulate cesareans, mother/baby care. At least 2 years comparable experience4.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)BLS, NRP required, STABLE desired, not required5.Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) Night shift 12 hours shifts, every other weekend, would be desirable to pick up extra shifts on-call. Will never work alone, there will be at least one other RN. Normal schedule is 4 RNs, but some may be called off due to low census6.Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)Not required7.Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.This is a 12 bed LDRP unit 8.Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) Follow AWHONN guidelines. Basically 1:1 for labor and 1:3 for mother/baby couplests9.Dress scrubs10.Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.We will orient three shifts. They are never alone, so there will be staff to ask questions when working and a Charge Nurse Asante s three hospitals in Southern Oregon saw 2,505 births & 331 patients in the neonatal intensive care unitComments: Will be asked to float as needed.OR RN License Required for starting. Temp license available for non-OR RN36 Hour GTD12 hours non-billable orientation for first work weekGuaranteed hours do not apply to the first work week24 hours non-billable customer call off per 13 weeks.
