Job description
The Delivery Manager is a member of Akeneo's Professional Services organization, focused on ensuring customers go live quickly and optimally with all of the solutions in Akeneo's Product Cloud. This customer-facing role plays a crucial part in ensuring the timely and quality completion of project deliverables, driving the sale of professional services, and guiding consultants.
The role requires the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper expectation alignment at all phases of the project life cycle.
This individual contributor role has responsibility over an assigned region. This role requires travel.
Manage and lead Akeneo-Led Time & Materials Implementations:

  • Pre-Sales Engagement:
    • Educate and assist the pre sales teams in selling Akeneo-led project
    • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and objectives
    • Participate in client meetings to gather requirements and present solutions
    • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations of our services
    • Assist in the preparation of proposals, SOWs, and service estimates
  • Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
    • Work with the regional manager(s) to manage team assignments and workloads
    • Challenge the team with operational practices during workshops or other deliverables in an effort to strive for continuous improvement
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders
    • Facilitate communication between the project team, clients, partners, and internal teams
    • Conduct regular status meetings and provide updates to senior management and clients
    • Manage client expectations and ensure alignment with project goals
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure Ensure all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards
    • Implement best practices for customers across the Akeneo lifecycle
    • Conduct post-project evaluations and identify areas for improvement
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Create internal and external documentation for Akeneo-led implementations; foresee additional documentation needed
    • Communicate the specifics of Akeneo-led projects internally and externally
    • Prepare and present detailed project status reports to internal and external stakeholders; identify success metrics, and track progress
    • Ensure all project data is accurately recorded and billed
Projects with Expiring services:
    • Partner with the regional manager(s) and consultants to provide assistance as needed to mitigate escalations, including cross-functional collaboration and direct client outreach
    • Conduct regular status meetings and provide detailed reports both internally and externally on progress
Execute and Assist with Internal Projects as needed:
  • Volunteer for and drive ad-hoc internal projects; take ownership in driving change management to ensure alignment and adoption
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes
  • Be self-sufficient in leading internal projects when needed; identify success metrics and track progress
  • Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders and align with Management of different Regions to ensure a global consensus on practices.
  • Take ownership of global alignment with internal content and enablement, including the internal knowledge base; identify gaps in our knowledge base and work with others to address them.
  • Be an effective and inspiring communicator internally and externally. Help teams work together more effectively. Contribute to ensuring strategic messages are communicated and understood.
Qualifications
  • You have 5+ years of professional services or software implementation experience.
  • You are passionate about customers and helping them drive value through the adoption of technology.
  • You are experienced and comfortable leading meetings with customers of mixed skill levels and seniority.
  • You have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are able to form connections quickly and influence your audience to trust your guidance through difficult situations.
  • You thrive in an extremely dynamic and changing environment.
