Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery in Onancock, VA

**Experience:** Cross-training in postpartum and nursery with experience in small units and community hospitals
**License:** VA License or proof of compact license required at submission
**Certifications:** AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, EPIC experience
**Must-Have:** Trauma Level 1 experience, previous Charge experience preferred, candidates must not be first-timers, specialty experience within the last year
**Job Description:**
- Work settings include Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, High-Risk Antepartum, and more
- Capable of conducting Antepartum Care and Procedures, including sterile speculum exams, NST, and triage of obstetrical patients
- Proficient in Fetal Monitoring, using both external and internal methods
- Skilled in Medication & Administration, including Anticoagulants, Anticonvulsants, Antihypertensives, and more
- Experience in Labor and Delivery Management, assisting with both high-risk and vaginal deliveries
- Competent in Newborn Care, including Circumcision assistance, Car Seat Education, and Newborn Assessment
- Flexible to float as required by the facility
- Required to work every other weekend
- Expected to manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of: Days - 1:3, Nights - 1:2, Weekends - 1:6
- Must have one supervisory reference for submission (two for compliance)
**Other Details:**
- Orientation period of 16 hours
- Flu vaccine status unknown
- Candidates can choose between travel assignments or per diem contracts but not both simultaneously
- Locals accepted at the same base rate
