About this role • Duties involve the administration and managing of the Company records and systems including SMS interface documents, Risk Assessments, Lifting plans and QMS.
• Reporting into the Crane Op Maintainer Focal Point, the incumbent will support the Focal Point with day-to-day tasks as required, as well as operating and maintaining all platform cranes and gantry cranes.
• Liaise on Company / personal matters with the Business Manager or Operations & Maintenance Engineer.
• The primary responsibility is to ensure equipment integrity by carrying out routine and breakdown maintenance, servicing and lubrication of all platform Cranes & Gantry Cranes in accordance with Client planned preventative maintenance routines and manufacturers manuals/service charts.
• Competently operate platform pedestal cranes and gantry cranes under the direction of nominated Client personnel. Crane operating duties are restricted to the specific crane(s) and platform(s) on which the employee has been deemed competent. Operations should be carried out in accordance with the authorised operators instructions manual, platform operating procedures, appropriate sections of the Company's Quality Assurance Manual, (i.e., SI-01) and other relevant documentation.
• Ensure planned maintenance programme is carried out as agreed by Operations & Maintenance Engineer and Focal Point, ensuring that all other maintenance work is completed and information is recorded on the Client maintenance management system.
• Liaise daily with Focal Point and Operations & Maintenance Engineer to advise them of status of on-going work, highlighting any possible problems / concerns.
• Maintain a log book in each crane for recording lubrication carried out, work carried out, defects list and any operational problems.
• The incumbent is responsible for giving a detailed report of any Incident involving Sparrows personnel to the Business Manager, Operations & Maintenance Engineer and Focal Point within 24 hours of the event.
• Maintain platform cranes in a clean, tidy and, where applicable, watertight condition, including cabs, machinery housings and external surfaces. External and internal paintwork should be retained in a corrosion free condition.
• Participate in platform risk assessment process to ensure that all lifting activities are thoroughly reviewed, and risks controlled prior to implementation.
• It is the responsibility of the incumbent to fully familiarise themselves with all installation Safety and Emergency Procedures.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as a Heli Deck Team Member.
HSEQ Responsibilities • It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with, and follows the Company's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management System and takes an active part in the compliance and improvement of the Management Systems.
• The incumbent must report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems according to the Management System processes/procedures.
• The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under country-specific health, safety and/or environmental legislation to follow these.
• The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.

• Sparrows Offshore Services Stage 3 Crane Operations Certificate (or equivalent)
