CDL-A Shuttle Driver

Position Title: Shuttle Driver - Pasco Based Reports to: Shuttle Supervisor
Pay: Guaranteed 40 hours (even if you only work 36) $27.00 - $31.00/hr. + full Benefits + $1000 quarterly bonuses

Shift Schedule: ?

• Starts in Pasco, transfer trailers from Pasco to Lacey and back.
• Shift schedule varies around 3pm-3am
• Sunday - Thursday with floating day(s) off
• Work 36 hours, paid for 40.
• Opportunities for overtime.
• $1000 quarterly bonuses (up to $4,000 per year or more)

General Summary : The Shuttle driver transfers empty trailers to Lacey Distribution Center, unhook empty trailers, hook up loaded trailers, and transfer the loaded trailers back to Eastern Washington.
Essential Job Functions :

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor, dolly, and trailers.
• Drivers must maintain safe operation of company vehicles on all public and private roadways and property.
• Drivers must conduct themselves with professionalism, as Class A CDL Drivers they will use safe driving techniques, defensive driving, and abide by all DOT mandated regulations which may apply to their day-to-day work.
• Drivers must maintain a safe driving record, and DOT medical card.

• Drivers must be registered with USDOT Clearinghouse and comply with USDOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Safely operate equipment in inclement weather, including snow.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Knowledge of transportation principles and methods for transporting goods by commercial vehicle.
• Skilled in using time management, and attention to detail.

• Ability to complete physical requirements of job.
• Ability to drive commercial vehicles (semi-trucks, trailers up to 53 feet, combinations, solo trucks, etc.).
• May require moving a hand truck, electric pallet jack, stay bars, etc.
• Ability to work well with other employees to foster a respectful and professional work environment.

Education and Experience :

• Acceptable MVR record

• One to three years commercial driving experience, grocery distributing experience a plus.

License and Certifications :

• Class A CDL License required and have doubles endorsement
• Current medical certificate card
