The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.The job description does not constitute an employment agreement between the employer and employee and is subject to change by the employer as the needs of the employer and requirements of the job change.Drive an industrial forklift according to standard operating procedureSupply finished material to conversion area for special ordersPull orders for shippingLoad trailers with correct productComply with all safety measures before loading a truck (i.e., making sure wheel are chocked before loading)Count finished product to verify inventoryWork safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Buckhorn policies and OSHA StandardsKnow proper procedures to follow in case of emergency, such as potential personal injury, water, or gas leak, and/or power failureEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); requiredForklift certification: required or must obtain if selected for position and don't haveOne to three years related experience and/or training; preferredWarehouse, forklift, and/or shipping experience; preferredComputer proficiency (Word and Excel); preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesLANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively with coworkers and supervision.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Ability to do two mathematical operations to arrive at the solution.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
