Optima Dealer Services provides Staffing and Consulting Services to the most luxurious auto Dealerships.
Role Summary:
We are currently seeking a proficient Shuttle Driver capable of safely transporting passengers to and from designated locations. The primary responsibilities of the Shuttle Driver role include proficiently and securely operating shuttle vehicles, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle, and delivering exceptional customer service to our guests. Specifically, the Shuttle Driver will be accountable for transporting passengers to and from John Wayne Airport and providing a pleasant experience to all Fletcher Jones Motorcars Guests.
Shuttle Driver Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet all guests with a smile, eye contact, and positive body language. Provide 5-star treatment to every guest.
• Transport guests to and from John Wayne Airport and Fletcher Jones Motorcars Dealership as needed.
• Follow pre-planned routes and schedules to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
• Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage and other items.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the shuttle vehicle.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure it is in good working condition, including checking service brakes, parking brakes, steering mechanisms, lights and reflectors, tires, horns, windshield wipers, rear-vision mirrors, coupling devices, wheels, and rims.
• Ensure the shuttle services have emergency equipment according to the DMV Commercial Driver Handbook, including fire extinguishers and emergency reflectors as required by law, as well as spare electrical fuses unless equipped with circuit breakers.
• Report any vehicle malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving the shuttle vehicle.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Politely announce the stop and location to the passengers following customer service and hospitality guidelines.
• Follow all established procedures for shuttle drivers, including pre-trip inspections, designated routes, accurate record-keeping, and regular, effective radio communication.
• Maintain a clean, pleasant, and calm environment inside the shuttle, including keeping windows rolled up, playing company-approved audio/video, keeping interior lights on, refraining from air freshener spraying, keeping the dashboard free of items, and not allowing food in the shuttle.
• Cooperate with all team members to provide the best possible service to all guests in a timely matter.
• Comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations and requirements governing the Department of Transportation.
• Ensure that all areas of the shuttle are clean and free of hazards.
• Follow all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook and Driver Agreement.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as per the requirements of the dealership.

Salary Description : $17.50- $18.50

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, & Experience Required:

• High school education or equivalent.
• 4 years of experience in a previous role.
• A Clean and outstanding Commercial driver's license (CDL) without any Violations.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Successful completion of Shuttle Driver Training Period (6 months).
• Currently holds, or can obtain, all applicable licenses on badges as required by governing authorities to operate a commercial vehicle, including a Clean and valid driver's license.
• Ability to promptly follow directions from management and co-workers.
• Ability to verbally communicate clearly and politely.
• Must be able to maintain a smile and courteous disposition toward external and internal Guests.
• Commitment to co-workers, Guests, and vehicle safety.
• Hospitality/Customer Service Skills.
