Straight Truck Driver - Near Flemington, NJ

Garden State Growers is hiring a Straight Truck Driver in Pittstown, NJ! With our continued growth we are currently looking for a driver in the Central NJ area. In this position you will be delivering rolling racks filled with product to customers on a preset scheduled route, picking up empty racks when possible, or as requested.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver merchandise to customers in a timely, effective and efficient manner with emphasis on customer service, neat appearance and safety.
• Pick up merchandise and rolling racks, as needed.
• Operate company vehicles in a professional, safe and courteous manner.
• Ensure delivery of appropriate merchandise in accordance with customer invoice.
• Unload product from racks in the store and return empty racks to Garden State Growers, when possible.
• Responsible for vehicle, ensure that it is kept clean, orderly and in good working condition.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks (pre- and post-inspection) and report any malfunctions to management with proper documentation (inspection form/work-order).
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or other members of management.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's license, NO CDL REQUIRED.
• At least 6 months' driving experience.
• Outstanding customer relations and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to push/pull rolling racks with weight exceeding 100 lbs when fully loaded.
• Must be able to lift or at least pull 75 lbs.
• Ability to obtain a Department of Transportation medical examiners certificate.
• Pre-employment drug screening and non-DOT physical required.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
