As a Package Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely driving delivery vehicles, ensuring that every route is completed safely & on-time, and for providing world-class customer service to every member of our community. All team members start their career with outstanding training, including a 3-day paid training program that will teach you the fundamentals of defensive driving, staying safe at every delivery stop, and how to delight customers at every turn.
What you'll receive for delivering your best
- Speedbox LLC is pleased to offer starting pay of $23.50/hour for drivers in Broomfield and Aurora . Additionally, drivers that become a box truck driver in Aurora, CO can earn starting pay of $24.50/hour.
- Obtain additional pay increases each year based on cost-of-living adjustments and performance. Based on our current pay scale, our top delivery driver can earn up to $26.50 based on performance in as little as 2 years with the company.
- Weekly pay with direct deposit, along with options for earned wage access (early pay) for up to 50% of your compensation in case of unexpected bills.
- $5250 in tuition reimbursement each calendar year, starting after 90 days of employment, that can be used to obtain an associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree.
- Two weeks of paid time off which begins accruing on day 1, increasing to 2.5 weeks of PTO after 1 year of employment and to 3 weeks of PTO after 2 years of employment.

This position will work out of either our Broomfield or Aurora delivery station, depending on your preferences. Our Broomfield team is located at the Amazon DDV3 delivery station at 400 W 160th Ave, Broomfield, CO 80023. Our Aurora team is located at the Amazon HDE2 delivery station at 22300 E 26th Ave, Aurora, CO 80019.
When you'll work in this role
Our drivers are scheduled to start between 09:30 AM - 11:00 AM every day, depending on the location. A typical delivery route will take 8 - 10 hours to complete, resulting in a typical end time before 9:00 PM. New team members will have a flexible schedule working 3-4 days a week, with opportunities to be promoted into a 4-day fixed schedule based on your attendance, safety, customer service, and performance on delivery routes.
A typical day and the Job Responsibilities for a Package Delivery Driver include:
- Being a Safety-First leader where you must independently be able to maintain the highest levels of safety at the terminal, while driving on road, and at every delivery stop.
- Having punctual attendance and flexible schedule availability so we can adapt to changes in our operating schedule or unexpected customer demand.
- Efficiently organizing your work at the start of each day, which includes performing a pre-trip safety inspection to identify any vehicular defects and lifting packages into the delivery van during load out, which requires hand lifting, pushing, pulling, and organizing up to 400 packages daily weighing up to 70 lbs each. Box truck drivers based in Aurora, CO must be able to maneuver packages weighing up to 300 lbs using carts/lift straps with assistance from a driver helper.
- Maintaining organization of packages throughout the day so you can quickly identify packages at each stop, while bending, reaching above head, kneeling, crouching, and stretching to maneuver packages within the vehicle.
- Using a handheld smartphone to navigate each route using GPS technology, while driving a high-roof cargo van for up to 150 miles per day.
- Strictly complying with all traffic regulations and defensive driving procedures, including wearing a seatbelt, maintaining a safe following distance, and having zero distracted driving, speeding, or stop sign/stop signal violation events. All vehicles are equipped with an AI vehicle telematics and dash camera system that monitors safe driving in real-time.
- Walking 8 - 10 miles per day while climbing up to 40 flights of stairs when delivering packages to the front door of homes and apartments.
- Reading, writing, and speaking English to communicate with customers and colleagues by phone, text message, and in person.
- Braving the elements by working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including hot temperatures, cold temperatures, rain, snow, and high wind.
- Keeping a professional appearance at all time, including a willingness to follow uniform and PPE (personal protective equipment) guidelines.
- Applicants must be 21 years of age or older at time of application.
- Must be willing to complete a 5-panel pre-employment drug screen which includes testing for marijuana/cannabis.
- Delivery Driver trainees must successfully pass all training curriculum, including demonstrating the ability to safely operate a delivery vehicle through a road course.
