Production Truck Driver / Materials Transport Operator

JOB OBJECTIVE SUMMARY:

The Production Truck Driver / Materials Transport Operator is responsible for transporting materials between subcontract customers and company locations. The role involves loading and unloading trucks, performing routine vehicle maintenance, and ensuring accurate accounting of materials loaded. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Transport materials between subcontract customers and company locations.
2. Monitor shipping, loading, and unloading procedures to ensure safety and timeliness.
3. Operate truck in a safe manner in accordance with the motor vehicle code.
4. Assist Hi-Lo drivers as needed and utilize Nulogy software system for trailer inspections/moves.
5. Perform routine maintenance on assigned vehicles and report any issues to management.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Educational / Talent Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of the local area.
• Possess or ability to obtain valid Federal Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with proper endorsements.
• Acceptable driving record according to company policy.

Work Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of one year of experience driving a large truck.

Performance Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical job duties.
