Position Summary

As the Sales and Delivery Director for Oceaneering Mobile Robotics North America, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by driving regional sales and successfully managing automation project and after sales service operations and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This strategic leadership position requires a seasoned professional with the experience and/or ability to successfully build and subsequently run a 100 million Dollar plus delivery organization in a global company setting. Reporting to the Global Vice President, you will have full Profit and Loss (P/L) responsibility, and you will be responsible for achieving and exceeding revenue targets while maintaining operational excellence. The Sales and Delivery Director will lead a team of sales and delivery professionals, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain strong relationships with clients to achieve revenue targets and customer satisfaction.


Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

  1. P/L Responsibility: Lead the development and execution of project sales and delivery operations to achieve revenue and profitability targets for the North American region. Drive cost optimization initiatives to ensure healthy margins.
  2. Growth Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for North America that aligns with the company's overall goals. Identify new market opportunities, target segments, and competitive positioning to drive revenue growth. Participate in the development of proposals, presentations, and negotiations with potential key clients.
  3. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understand their needs, and ensure the delivery of exceptional solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
  4. Forecasting and Reporting: Provide accurate 4 quarter rolling forecasts for all relevant (financial) metrics and present regular reports to executive leadership. Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, analyze data to identify trends and drive corrective measures where needed.
  5. Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing local Sales & Delivery team and establish a strong project delivery and after sales service capability driving excellent client relationships and expand market share. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure consistent growth. Build an open communication culture which drives teamwork & collaboration. Establish relationships and collaborative environment with key partners and stakeholders within the organization like the products and manufacturing organizations, as well as supporting organizations like supply chain and quality.
  6. Operational Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end delivery process, ensuring seamless execution of projects and services. Implement best practices to enhance operational Health & safety, efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  7. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the strategic vision for the North American region. Provide insights on market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to shape the company's long-term direction.
  8. Global Collaboration: Leverage your experience in a global company setting to collaborate with international teams, share best practices, and contribute to the company's overall growth strategy.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  1. Bachelor's degree in business development, Sales or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. 10+ years of progressive experience in sales and delivery leadership roles, with a focus on the automation and robotics industry.
  3. 5+ years of experience in a global company setting, collaborating with cross-functional and international teams.
  4. Proven track record of successfully managing a P/L of at least $50 million, with experience scaling revenue to multi-hundred million levels.
  5. Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  6. Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and team members.

DESIRED

  1. Master of Business (MBA) degree highly preferred.
  2. Experience in the material handling and logistics industry.
