DMJ Transportation has immediate openings for school van and bus drivers. NO CDL REQUIRED for van drivers. DMJ provides PAID CDL training for those looking to drive a big yellow bus. Employment is part time, Monday through Friday. No nights, weekends, or holidays. Collect unemployment in the summer or take summer routes! Applicants with room at their house have the option to park a company vehicle at home. There are openings in Greensburg, Mount Pleasant, and Latrobe.OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF JOB:To transport students and other passengers as assigned in a safe, efficient, and timely manner in accordance with Department of Transportation, Department of Education, School Board and Company rules, regulations, and guidelines.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB:Fuels the bus as needed and completes the required pre and post trip inspections of the bus.2. Ensures that a communication device (e.g. cellular phone, radio) is in proper working order before each trip.3. Ensures the safety, management and care of the students boarding and disembarking from the school bus.4. Transports students and other passengers to and from assigned location(s) in a safe and timely manner.5. Follows the designated route in accordance with all road and safety regulations6. Reports observations and/or incidents (e.g. discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior, etc.) and assists the Bus Monitor(s) with seating assignments in accordance with school, state and company guidelines.7. Ensures that all students depart the bus and remove their belongings at their destination.8. Keeps the bus clean and free of debris; follows all bus cleaning procedures.9. Maintains bus emergency and first aid supplies and equipment.10. Performs bus damage and repair inspections and submits related reports.11. Complies with all established guidelines.12.
