Warehouse Delivery Driver Helper

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
Position: Warehouse Delivery/Picker Driver
Responsibilities:

1. Order Picking: Accurately pick products, including but not limited to, warehouse items, packages, or products, based on customer orders using handheld scanners or picking lists.
2. Loading: Safely load picked items onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper stacking and securing to prevent damage during transportation.
3. Delivery Operations: Ride in delivery vehicles to transport products to customer locations, job sites, or other designated destinations following established routes and schedules.
4. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including courteous communication, assistance with unloading, and addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
5. Unloading: Unload items from the delivery vehicle upon reaching the destination, confirming the accuracy of delivered items against delivery documents.
6. Documentation: Complete accurate and thorough delivery documentation, including invoices, delivery receipts, and any other required paperwork. Collect customer signatures upon delivery.
7. Inventory Management: Collaborate with warehouse personnel to confirm accuracy in product quantities and details before loading for delivery. Report any discrepancies.
8. Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle, reporting any issues promptly. Ensure regular maintenance and servicing of the delivery vehicle.
9. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving and delivering products. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
10. Communication: Maintain effective communication with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and customers to relay delivery updates, address any issues, and ensure smooth coordination.
11. Pickup and Returns: Coordinate and execute product pickups and returns from customers, handling any necessary paperwork and documentation.
12. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes in delivery schedules, priorities, and handle various types of products.

1. Commercial Driver's License (CDL): A valid CDL may be required, depending on the size and type of the delivery vehicle.
2. Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver or warehouse picker, familiarity with order picking processes, and delivery operations is beneficial.
3. Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move heavy items, perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading, and navigate various delivery environments.
4. Customer Service Skills: Courteous and professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
5. Route Planning: Familiarity with local routes and effective route planning to optimize delivery schedules.
6. Attention to Detail: Accuracy in documentation and a keen eye for detail to ensure the correct items are picked, loaded, and delivered.
7. Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills to relay information to warehouse staff, dispatchers, and customers.
8. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing delivery schedules and priorities.
9. Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality are crucial for reliable and efficient delivery and warehouse operations.
   This position will be a passenger until converted from Temp status.
