CDL A Driver - Local Routes - Home Daily

Job Description
We are looking to add a Truck Driver to our team. The Truck Driver position delivers finished product to and from our warehouse in North Columbus. Drivers are our first line of contact, so you must be courteous to the customers, ensure PPE is up to date, and notify Maintenance or Supervisor if there is something wrong with your equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive Worthington commercial vehicles exhibiting defensive driving principles
• Utilize all personal protective equipment (PPE) in all aspects of daily task
• Work in accordance with all DOT and Worthington standards and Policies
• Perform all tasks required in loading but not limited to product transfer, quality analysis, quality documentation and customer certificate analysis
• Perform all tasks required in customer delivery including but not limited to product transfer, customer quality testing, dynamic risk assessment of delivery area and customer interface.
• Participate in regulatory, Worthington or site specific training
• Report any incident involving equipment damage, near miss, first aid or medical treatment to supervisor
• Participate in routine driver meetings
• Daily completion and submission of written log book, paperwork and any other administrative tasks
• Maintain daily communication with Supervisor
• Report deficiencies in Worthington transport equipment, at risk customer locations and customer tank deficiencies including required documentation

Desired Experience

• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations
• Exhibits commitment to defensive driving
• Excellent communication skills - must be able to effectively communicate with office staff, drivers and customers
• Must have demonstrated record of safe work
• Ability to operate knuckle-boom in a safe manner
• Commercial Driver's License Class A with Hazmat preferred
