We are currently seeking a permanent full time Hostler Driver to join its vibrant team.The hostler driver is responsible for efficiently moving and positioning trailers, containers, or other equipment within the terminal.
Work Schedule : Day shift 7 :00 am to 3 :00 pm, Monday to Friday, with availability for additional hours if needed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct equipment inspections according to pre-inspection checklist.
- Utilize the hostler to relocate containers from the grain scale to the stacking area and retrieve empty containers.
- Operate forklifts at docking stations to load and cross-dock 53' OTR or 20'/40' containers, handling palletized goods, slip-sheeted goods, as well as loading bales and rolls of paper into containers.
- Support maintenance with tasks related to the pickup and drop-off of Ray-Mont chassis.
- Assist general laborers during idle periods with tasks such as cleaning intermodals, closing container doors, and removing trash.
- Previous experience in shunting or as a truck driver.
- Proficiency as a forklift operator.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
Work Environment : Must be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
