CDL Driver (Houston to Branch Locations)

Job Purpose

• Driving 18 Wheeler rigs and doing drop and hook deliveries between warehouse and Texas branches then return (Midnight pick up - return around 10 am the following day.)
• MUST HAVE a clean MVR, Background and pass a drug screen

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Routes vary as needed, all in Texas
• You will be driving a tractor/trailer combination with a 53' trailer.
• Inspect the load prior to starting the trip.
• Insure the vehicle is maintained and in good operating condition.
• Maintain a clean truck and trailer.
• Comply with all safety procedures.
• On time and accurate delivery of freight to the locations.
• M-F, sometimes you will be asked to work weekends.
• When you are not driving, you will be preforming DOT inspections for the trucks, picking up parts and other duties around the auto shop.
• Have a Class A CDL
• At least 3 years tractor/trailer driving experience or the successful completion of our mentor program if less than a year of driving experience

• Age 21 or older
• No DUI/DWI, Careless/Reckless driving citations or revoked/suspended license in the past 7 years
• No use of electronic devices while driving violations

Working Conditions
Drive long distances day and night on all types of roads and in all types of weather
Exposure to noise and vibration
Exposure to dust and diesel fumes
Hours vary due to operational need
Overnight stays may be required for some schedules
