The intern will gain significant knowledge in the logistics industry and gain real-world business experience and skills that will prepare them for their future career. The intern will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of driver qualification and safety, ultimately contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the company's operations.
Responsibilities
- Shadow experienced professionals to gain insights into the industry and company operations.
- Collaborate cross functionally with other department to achieve mutual goals.
- Assist with onboarding of new drivers, including verifying their qualifications, conducting background checks, and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
- Ensure that all drivers comply with federal and state regulations.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to help drive efficiency within the group.
- Obtain an understanding of FMCSA & DOT regulations and how they’re integral to the operation.
Qualifications
- Ability to take verbal/written instruction and execute with confidence
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a team when needed.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Pursuing higher education in business administration, supply chain or similar field required. Junior or senior preferred.

Covenant’s compensation philosophy’s intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company. The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.
Pay Range: $13.57-$18.55
