In Gabon, Eramet operates through two subsidiaries: SETRAG and COMILOG (Compagnie Minière de l’Ogooué). SETRAG, a subsidiary of COMILOG, holds the concession for the railway line connecting Owendo to Franceville. A key driver of the country's economic development, the Transgabonais railway has been undergoing an ambitious Rehabilitation Program since 2015, initiated by the State and SETRAG.

Job Description:

The Train Control System (TCS) Division Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing SETRAG's train control system. This role is essential for modernizing and optimizing railway operations by replacing outdated systems with cutting-edge technologies to improve safety, traffic flow, and productivity. The position holder will lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the TCS, ensuring its availability and reliability. Working collaboratively with various internal and external teams, they will ensure that the system meets railway safety requirements while adhering to allocated budgets.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of the spacing management system (TCS) and computerized switch systems.
  • Ensure the TCS system's performance in terms of availability, reliability, and safety.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of onboard equipment and communication infrastructures associated with the TCS.
  • Lead railway signaling and track detection projects while respecting quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor budgeting and manage contracts for projects related to the TCS system.
  • Organize and facilitate technical committees and follow-up meetings to coordinate different stakeholders.
  • Conduct incident and fault analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with railway safety standards and respond to system safety audits.
  • Develop specifications and participate in the tendering process for new TCS projects.

Your Profile:

  • Engineering degree in computer or electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of experience in managing complex information system or railway signaling projects, including the management of both project ownership and project management.
  • Strong project management skills and in-depth knowledge of railway control systems and signaling technologies.
  • Expertise in managing the maintenance of IT and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work in a team, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and manage projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proven ability to manage projects under pressure.
