Aon Is Looking for a Commercial Analytics Client Delivery Engineer!
We are seeking an innovative health analytics client delivery consultant to join our dynamic team.
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions developing and commercializing health analytics capabilities at Aon. This role will lead engineering development, automation, and commercialization initiatives supporting new and existing analytics solutions and serve as a technical architect. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams and help deliver market-leading solutions efficiently to Aon clients.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Chicago, Denver, or any Aon office. While there is a preference for someone in the above-listed locations, we are willing to consider a candidate to work virtually as well.
What the day will look like
- Technical: Develop technical code to manage data, automate client report deliveries, and improve client delivery through technology enhancements and data engineering.
- Identify and architect new technological platforms and assess existing ones to improve stakeholder experience and enhance client delivery.
- Prioritization: Prioritize features and functionalities based on their value, feasibility, and alignment with strategic objectives. This requires balancing competing demands and making data-driven decisions to maximize the impact of the solutions.
- Stakeholder alignment: Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, legal, marketing, and industry experts, to gather requirements for new analytics solutions.
- Product Delivery: Scale client-ready report delivery by building self-service capabilities/interface for analytics products with technical coding skills; automating and streamlining large cross-functional operations.
- Innovation: Stay current on emerging trends and industry developments, propose new capabilities or suggestions to revamp existing capabilities to meet emerging client needs. Stay current on leading-edge vendor and partner capabilities.
- Leadership Support: Help leadership identify, define, and drive Aon strategy and revenue growth.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analytics engineers, actuaries, and consultants, to develop and maintain analytics solutions. This involves facilitating communication, resolving conflicts, and ensuring alignment across teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
- Engage with clients and Aon colleagues to gather feedback, demonstrate prototypes, and solicit input for future technology enhancements.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills and abilities.
- Experience in process automation, data analytics/engineering, ETL data manipulation, LLM models, business intelligence data analytics tools (i.e. PowerBi or Tableau).
- Knowledge in programming languages Python, C++, or R, LLM, Machine Learning, Data Science/Engineering is a plus.
- Experience with Data warehouses - including SQL databases, Snowflake, and/or Databricks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Professional approach and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Superior proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of market trends, client needs, and emerging vendors.
- Proven ability to mentor junior colleagues.
- Product knowledge of Medical, Stop Loss, Life, Disability, Dental, Vision, and Voluntary Benefits is a plus.
- Understanding of Agile project management is a plus.
Education
- Experience in insurance; benefits consulting; finance and related operations; or analytics | Sr-Consultant 5+ years or 7+ years for AVP.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Informatics, Statistics, Finance, or related fields a plus.
- Experience in insurance, benefits consulting, and finance and related operations and analytics required, management skills a plus.
Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $95,000-$180,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
